“This tour is the one to book if you want to go all the way to the summit. Our tour guide was called Simone, and he was excellent. Very knowledgeable with great insights to volcanic study and told stories which were fascinating and was great with all members of the group, including those less able. He had a clear passion for what he was doing which came off throughout the tour. For the trek itself it is hard, with some members of the group not able to complete all the way to the top, so only book this if you are reasonably fit. The summit itself is constantly spurting out…”
